BUILD A SKILL. SAVE A LIFE
This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to be lifeguards and professional rescuers.
Participants will be certified in CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Emergency Oxygen Administration.
To complete the course, you must first pass all 3 prerequisites:
- A 300-meter swim,
- 2-minute tread without using hands,
- A timed brick retrieval
- The brick retrieval is a 20-meter swim and surface dive to retrieve a 10-lb brick from about 8 feet of water, bring it to the surface, and return to the wall holding the brick with both hands in under one minute and forty seconds.
Prerequisites are performed on the first day.
