"When I came to the Gainesville area on a visit, I stopped by the Y and attended Karlton's morning class. As my wife and I entered the class we were greeted by a number of participants almost as though we had been attending the class all along. During the conversations we had that day, Joe found out that I was looking to run a 5k race while we were here. He not only recommended a local race, he went and ran the race with me. I have been to a number of YMCA's around the country and they all have friendly people at them. However, the North Central Florida YMCA has the nicest and friendliest staff and members that I have found. This played a big part in helping us decide to move to this area" ~ Tom Story
